Prevent Facebook From Hackers

Posted by Edward
Hacking a Facebook account is not so much easily possible for any hacker. Because Facebook developers update their databases regularly and also try to remove any vulnerability. Mostly hackers can hack your account due to following reasons:
  • If they have access to your e-mail account that you are using on your Facebook
  • You have not set security questions or used easily guessable answers to your security questions
  • You have not linked your cell number to your accounts and etc. (This is more useful then an e-mail address because you always have your phone with you and you can get reset code on it).

Different passwords for every account:

Use different passwords for both Facebook and e-mail accounts. Because if hacker guess one password then he can apply it on all your accounts if you have same password.Make your e-mail account more secure because if your Facebook account gets hacked then you could recover it from your email account. But if your e-mail account gets hacked then you'll lose both your Facebook and that e-mail account as he can use forgot password method to get Facebook password.

Make strong passwords:

Make strong passwords by typing uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. Don't use simple words and sentences that can be easily guessed. Or you can use large sentences including uppercase and lowercase letters as your password. Never use letters and numbers in a sequence.

Use different e-mail for Facebook and for connecting to people:

Try to use different email address for personal and public use. This means use a secret e-mail address for making your Facebook account and then hide it from your account details on Facebook and use other email account to connect to people.

Make strong security questions:

Setup security questions for Facebook and also for your e-mail account and try to make them not guessable and try to add different security questions for both Facebook and email accounts.

Activate mobile login information:

You can receive alerts on your cell phone when someone or even you login from unknown source i.e. From new computer, new browser, new location and others like this.

Require mobile code for login:

Activate this option and after activating this you will get a text message from Facebook every-time you login from new unknown device. When you will enter your e-mail or username and password and then click on login then Facebook will send you message containing a code to your cell then enter that code in the required field and save that device if you want to save but if you are on a public computer then do not save this device because once you saved a device you don't need to type code that you get from Facebook mobile text message. So save that device that you often use to login to Facebook i.e. Your PC or Your cell phone etc.

I hope these instructions will help you to secure your Facebook Accounts from being hacked.
