Hide Any partition of a hard drive in Windows

If you want to hide a partition of a hard drive in Windows XP so that you can hide your personal things in that and when you need your things repeat process in reverse manner to get your hard drive partition back with your things. Process is simple and easy.

Steps to hide drive:

1. Go to start and click on run and type in diskpart
A DOS Windows will appear with following description
DISKPART>
2. Type in that list volume
Result will look as shown in picture below

3. Suppose you want to hide drive E then type select volume 3
Then a message will appear in same window  Volume 3 is selected volume
4. Now type remove letter E
Now a message will come Diskpart Removed the Drive letter
Sometimes it requires to reboot your PC

Diskpart will remove the letter and Windows XP does not have capability to identify the unknown volume and make this partition of your drive invisible.

Steps to undo change:

To access the content of drive and make that drive visible again repeat the above process but in 4th step replace remove by assign
You'll get your Drive back
