Speed up your internet by 20%

Posted by Edward
Sometimes we get in place where we get very less Internet speed that is not enough for our works. But you can increase Internet speed by 20%. Because Windows 2000 and onward reserve 20% of your available Internet bandwidth for some windows Updates and some other windows programs. You can cancel that reservation and can use that 20% bandwidth too.

Steps:

Open run (Click on start and then on run or Press windows key + R) and type gpedit.msc. This will open group policy editor.

Then go to:

Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Network > QOS Packet Scheduler > Limit Reservable Bandwidth
Double click on Limit Reservable bandwidth. Its default setting is not configured and if it is not configured or disabled then 20% of your available bandwidth is reserved for windows updates etc. To use that bandwidth instead of reserving Enable it and then set it to zero.

Sharing is Caring
